Guest bedroom finished!
Our friends Jenny and Mike arrive tomorrow to stay with us for a week. We were determined to finish the guest bedroom before their arrival..... and we have done it! The only thing is that I was unable to find a suitable rug for the big floor space. I shall have to keep looking.
So, firstly, some 'before' shots....

I am 'so' pleased with how this room has turned out - it is just beautiful, don't you think?

It's fabulous...so very French but modern too...not a lumpy bumpy mattress in sight....fantastic job, when does the BnB open? ;) Fiona
WOW...it looked like an ok space that something could be done with it...but to see the finished product! I would like to see a comfortable chair with small table so I could sit there, drink tea and read and just look around the room, think how very fortunate I was to be there, then go back for another chapter or so...it's like the perfect arrangement of a well-loved piece of music...to be enjoyed over and over again.

Thanks Fi and Gabriele! Yes, there is space for plenty more furniture and a comfy chair and table next to the window are just what I had in mind. In fact, I have found a matching pair of chairs at the Troc in Saint Gaudens which we're going to go back and buy this week :-) I also want a big, woolly rug to go under the bed and take up more of the floorboard space, but I just don't seem to be able to find one.
